Our closest park is the Vicksburg National Military Park.
Guided tours are available and reservations are recommended. The park
commemorates the campaign, siege, and defense of Vicksburg in 1863 and
includes over 1,340 monuments and markers, a 16-mile tour road, a
restored Union gunboat, and a National Cemetery. CD’s are available at
the Visitors Center, where life-sized exhibits and artifacts from the
Siege of Vicksburg are on display.
